Amaterasu Signature

Amaterasu Signature Monoblock Amplifier

Basics:
– high-quality single-ended tube mono amplifier
– high gain circuit, no need for a preamplifier (use of passive preamplifier possible)
– 17W output power (double that of 300B tube)
– 6-8 Ohm speakers reqired (4 and 16 Ohm available at request)
Highlights:
– Only the best sounding New-Old-Stock tubes
– premium quality passive components
– amorphous cored hand wound output transformers
– ultra-short signal path: RCA connector next to driver tube socket, speaker terminals as close to output transformers as possible (both placed on sides of enclosure)
– no local or global feedback loops
– regulated and stabilised high-voltage supply (tubes only, no solid-state devices)
– very slow high voltage buildup due to extremely long heat-up time of 6D22S diodes, increasing tubes’ life
– rapid power supply capacitors discharge (less than 2 seconds) on turn-off, further increases tubes’ life
– forced-air cooled for maximum longevity
– only DC heating of audio tubes
– solid wood and aluminum enclosures with additional copper shielding
Tubes used:
•Audio circuit
814 Philips : military power pentode (triode connected). 814 was designed and  used in military radios, power lasers. It’s equipped with tungsten thoriated cathode (it glows like an incandescent bulb). Aida uses New-Old-Stock tubes from 1968.
6BS7 Brimar: small-signal pentode, designed and produced solely for audio use by Brimar, England. Ultra-low microphony and noise, legendary Brimar quality. Mid-sixties, the apex of tube era, boxes never opened.
•Power supply
6D22S: long-lasting russian single-diode with very long heat-up time.
6N2P: high-gain double triode (russian near-equivalent to 12AX7)
PL504: high-current pentode common in TV receivers
